The MacDows Windows shell replacement uses Windows file paths scheme (example: C:\Windows), along with the look, feel and functionality of the MacOS. The MacDows shell is currently still in development stages, but I have released a beta version.
In the donwload you receive the setup program along with the Macdows directory structure ready to use, that is why the download is almost 2MB. You need to right click on the link below and select 'save link as'Macdows is a fully functional Windows shell, it is capable of
- running applications
- opening documents
- copying, cutting and pasting files and applications
- Automaticly finds drives and tries to figure out what type they are
- has its own trash
- Macdows is capable of creating alias and has a working Apple menu
- the finder menu seperates finder windows from running applications
- and much more...
